Casual, walk-up window service on the side of the road. My order was taken right away and the food came out quickly. The overall flavors were good. I did not really care for the creamy side of spicy sauce I got. The greens were good, but had some cold some hot within the little container. Pork was good, but just some parts were a little too burnt/smoky for me. Overall a good experience. I would say like a 3.5, but I'll round up to 4.
Was so sad to see Woodburn close for good. But just had Sweet Southern Smoke's ribs and brisket. Both were outstanding. Juicy. Falling-apart goodness. I'll be back.
They love people loving their food. They are always smiles and make us smile with their food. I always get the pulled pork but last night they surprised us with a sample of the chicken. It was flavorful even without any sauce.
Absolutely the Best BBQ I've tasted yet in West Virginia, it's a glorified rib shack but has real deal good Ol Southern Cooking. One of the guys was just setting up and cooking when I showed up and my first choice the brisket wasn't ready yet but whatever magic he worked back there did just fine and I got a pile of BBQ Chicken and the sides and corn bread were off the hook. Bring ur appetite!
